Penny R. Johnson, Ph.D.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and
the University of Chicago where she received her AM and Ph.D. from the School of Social Service Administration (SSA). At SSA, she worked as Dean of Students and Lecturer teaching courses inChild Welfare. Dr. Johnson has worked as a practitioner, researcher, and supervisor in community agencies focused on child welfare and child protection. Prior to employment at SSA, she was employed as a Research Fellow at Chapin Hall Center for Children conducting research at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) on decision making in child protection, family preservation and familyreunification. Prior to employment at the University, Johnson worked for many years as a researcher and caseworker at Chicago Child Care Society, a Chicago child welfare organization. Johnson’s recent research focused on decision making, risk assessment and error reduction in child protection though research conducted at the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) at DCFS. This work consisted of the analysis of decision errors made by child protective investigators and the development of practice strategies assessed to reduce decision errors. Recent publications include Transforming Child Protection Agencies into High Reliability Organizations: A Conceptual Framework, Rzepnicki, T.L. and Johnson, P.R. Michael C. Pattrick serves as Manager/CEO of the Michael C. Pattrick Insurance Agency Inc. State Farm Insurance. Concentrating in the areas of individual and commercial insurance, along with financial planning services. The agency main goal is to assisist individuals with securing and protecting their future.
Selena Boyd-Pittman is the Vice President and ChiefFinancial Officer for Damron Corporation, located in Chicago, Illinois. Previously, Selena served as controller and corporate treasurer. She has a 24-year history with Damron, having joined as an administrative assistant in 1988. She actively participated in the growth and
development of Damron and has held a variety of positions. In her current position she is responsible for financial and company operations. She assists the president in the overall implementation of the company’s mission, methods and modes of operation. Most essential she takes pride in Damron and believes, “Although employed by the company, employees, in essence, work for themselves and should, therefore be accountable.” Selena has a B.S in Management Informationm Systems from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Business. She is a member of the Illinois Management Association, Society for Human Resource and Management and the Association for Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business. She is the former president of Chicago State University TRiO Alumni Group and a former trustee for the Chicago/Cook County 4-H Foundation.

A Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University and an Associates of Arts Degree from Sauk Valley Community College. Robertos' daughter, Tonantzin Carmona, graduated from Northwestern University in June of 2012, with a degree in political science and will attend law school in the near future. Roberto's youngest daughter, Xochitl will be a senior at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. She will double major in sociology and communications.
